We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager, who will be responsible for developing the European sales in the rental market, Gorman-Rupp offers an extensive line of mobile pump solutions that we sell to leading Equipment Rental Companies. In this role, you will be respnisble for expanding this business line.
1) Role Description & (Daily) Activities
The International Rental Sales Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and growing the company’s international pump rental business. This role focuses on expanding the Gorman-Rupp sales across multiple regions to Europe’s leading Equipment Rental Companies
This role requires an entrepreneurial spirit and the possibility to travel with Europe.
2) Main Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the international sales strategy in the rental markets in line with company objectives
- Grow rental revenue and profitability across international markets
- Manage and support international rental customers. This comprises the (greater-) European continent, excl. the Netherlands and Belgium.
- Support our Rental customer on fleet optimization, and return on investment
- Define pricing strategies, contract terms, and commercial guidelines
- Support customer requests with technical and operational solutions
- Analyze Gorman-Rupp’s sales performance, KPIs, and market trends; report to management
- Support (key-) accounts, framework agreements, and international customers
- Represent the company at international trade fairs, industry events, and customer meetings
3) Job Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial) or Business with strong technical affinity
- Minimum 5–8 years of international experience in the sales of industrial equipment to Rental companies
- Experience with pump sets, diesel/electric driven pumps, accessories, and control systems is not required
Technical & Commercial Skills
- Strong understanding of Europe’s equipment rental market
- Ability to evaluate technical requirements
- Strong commercial, pricing, and contract negotiation skills
- Experience with fleet management, utilization metrics, and lifecycle costing
- Project management skills and ability to manage multiple international accounts simultaneously
- Willingness to travel within Europe internationally on a regular basis (approx. 40%)
